Certified groomers
Every groomer here is certified and keeps training current. Scissoring, breed standards, and safe handling are not something we learn on your dog.
One dog at a time, start to finish, with a groomer who learns your dog's name and remembers it. No kennel dryers, no rushing, no crowded waiting room.
We keep the menu short on purpose. Five services, done properly, by groomers who have been doing this for years. Tell us the coat and the temperament and we will tell you honestly what your dog actually needs.
Why The Groom Room
We are four groomers and a front desk, not a chain. Your dog is looked after the way we look after our own.
Every groomer here is certified and keeps training current. Scissoring, breed standards, and safe handling are not something we learn on your dog.
Your dog gets one groomer for the whole visit and goes home when it is done. No sitting in a kennel for four hours waiting for a dryer to free up.
Low noise dryers, non slip tables, and breaks whenever a dog needs one. Nervous and senior dogs are booked into our quiet mornings on purpose.
Owned and run in Vancouver, with the same faces behind the table every week. When you call, you talk to someone who has met your dog.

Before you book
Short, plain, and the same for everyone. These are what keep the day calm for every dog on the schedule.
Arrive within 15 minutes of your slot. Past that we may need to shorten the service or rebook you, because the next dog is already on the way. A no-show is billed at 50 percent of the booked service.
First visits take a $25 deposit when you book. It comes straight off the final bill, and it moves with you if you reschedule with at least 24 hours notice.
Give us 24 hours and there is no charge at all. Inside 24 hours the deposit is kept, or 50 percent of the service is billed if there was no deposit. Talk to us if something genuinely goes sideways.
Current rabies, DHPP, and bordetella are required before the first groom. Text or email a photo of the record from your vet and we keep it on file. Puppies can start once the second round is done.
We check every coat at drop off and tell you what is realistic before we start. Light matting is brushed out at $20 per extra 15 minutes. Tight matting is painful to brush, so the humane answer is a short clip and we will ask you to sign off on it first. We will never work a dog through hours of dematting to save a haircut.
Anything here that does not fit your dog's situation? Call us at (604) 732-7387 and we will work it out before you book.
FAQ
Still unsure about something? Call the salon and ask. We would rather answer it now than at drop off.
Ask us anythingA bath and brush usually runs 45 to 60 minutes. A full groom is closer to two to three hours depending on size, coat, and how much your dog enjoys standing still. We book one dog per groomer so you are not waiting on anyone else's schedule.
Yes. We ask for current rabies, DHPP, and bordetella records before the first appointment. Send a photo of the paperwork from your vet and we will keep it on file. Puppies can start once their second round is complete.
We check the coat at drop off and tell you honestly what is possible. Light matting can be brushed out for a small fee. Tight matting is painful to brush, so the humane answer is a shorter clip. We will never pull a dog through hours of dematting to save a haircut.
Often, yes. Tell us before you book. Anxious dogs go into our quiet morning slots with no other dogs in the room, and we can split a groom across two shorter visits. If your dog is at risk of biting, we will talk through muzzle training or refer you to a vet clinic that grooms under sedation.
Give us 24 hours notice and there is no charge at all. Under 24 hours or a no show is billed at 50 percent of the service, because that slot could have gone to another dog. Life happens, so talk to us if something goes sideways. The full list sits in salon policies.
Curly and non shedding coats do best every four to six weeks. Double coated breeds usually land between eight and twelve weeks with de-shedding in spring and fall. Short coated dogs can stretch further and just come in for nails. We will give you a rebook window at pickup.
How it works
Book online in a couple of taps, or call us with your dog's breed, weight, and last groom date. We will match you with the right groomer and time slot.
Drop off, meet your groomer, and agree on the cut. We text you a photo when the blow dry is done so you know the timing.
Pick up a clean, brushed, trimmed dog, plus notes on coat condition and when to rebook. Bandana included, obviously.
